1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, work more efficiently, remember preferences and provide reporting information. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage to store your consent choice on your device.

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for the site to work. They store your consent choice, keep navigation state and protect against abuse. The site cannot function properly without them, so they do not require consent.

cf-theme — remembers light or dark mode preference.

2.2 Functional

Help the site remember choices you make to give you a more personal experience — e.g. recently used calculators, form inputs, layout preferences. Off by default until you opt in.

2.3 Analytics

Anonymous, aggregated traffic measurement so we can see which pages and calculators are used and improve them. We may use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation. Off by default.

2.4 Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads. With your consent, AdSense and its certified partners may set cookies to deliver and measure personalised ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised (contextual) only. Off by default in the EEA, UK and Switzerland until you opt in.

3. Google Consent Mode v2

Calculator Friendly implements Google Consent Mode v2. Before you choose, all advertising and analytics signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage) are set to denied. Your saved choice updates these signals in real time, so AdSense and Analytics only set the cookies you have allowed.

4. How to manage cookies

Use our consent banner — any time.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (see help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies (including the consent record) will cause the banner to reappear on every visit.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
